Resolution : 1280x720The slow motion video capture, aka high speed video capture, was first introduced on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, so it is not a surprise that this feature is now available on the Samsung Galaxy S4. The S4 however packs at least double the amount of horsepower than the Note 2, it is not surprising that the slow motion video capture has improved on the Galaxy S4. Most importantly, it now captures full 720p video whereas the Galaxy Note 2 only captured 480p video. And even though both devices looks to scale up the video, the video quality has overall improved on the Galaxy S4.
I compare the footage taken with a Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S4, and a GoPro Hero3 Black Edition. And I also cover how to turn your 1/8x 120fps slow motion video from your Galaxy S4 to something close to 500fps slow motion video using Adobe Premiere Pro adjusting the speed to 25% of the original and using frame blending.
